Guest speaker Wayne Walker argues that homelessness requires more than temporary aid or housing—it calls for holistic, long-term support addressing trauma, mental health, addiction, relationships, and spiritual needs. Drawing on Jesus healing the man at the pool of Bethesda, he presents his organization’s work(Our Calling) as Christ-centered transformation, sharing examples of people moving from the streets into recovery and supportive community. He challenges Bent Tree to join local outreach and help neighbors get off the streets and walk with Jesus.
