United Weekend is February 14-16.

Who can attend United Weekend?

Any Bent Tree middle or high school student and their friends. (Students who don't usually attend Bent Tree will be placed in their friend's small group).

How can I attend?

Each student will need to register and complete the payment. Registration opens on January 5 and closes on February 2.

How much does United Weekend cost?

Early Bird price is $115 until January 19, then goes to $140 until February 2.

What does registration include?

Registration includes a United participant T-shirt, lunch & dinner on Saturday, and activities throughout the weekend!

My student has never been to United before. Will they get to be with their friends?

When you register for United, there is spot to list a friend that invited you. Be sure to include their name there!

Will there be United Merch Sold?

Yes! United merchandise will be sold during the weekend. Students can bring cash and credit card to purchase merchandise.

Can high school students drive themselves?

Students may drive themselves to the church on Friday and home on Sunday. Students are not permitted to drive themselves or other students to host homes or offsite activities.

What if my student has food allergies?

Food allergies can be noted on the registration. We are unable to accommodate food preferences.

What is the schedule for United?

Check-in will begin on Friday at 6:30 pm. United will end on Sunday after the 11:00 am service. A detailed schedule will be released in February.

What if I have a game or other commitment during United?

It's not a problem. You can leave and return later, but make sure to let us know through our time away form. You can find that here.

Can I get a discount if I can only attend part of United?

No, United is a flat-fee event. Most of the registration fee goes to elements such as the set, speakers, band, t-shirts, and materials that are not reduced by your absence.

Can my registration be canceled or transferred?

Unfortunately, no. All Bent Tree events are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Can I serve at United?

Yes! We need help to make United happen! United is only possible through the service of over 100 serving team members. You can sign up to host a group, drive students, and help the week before and during the weekend. Click here for opportunities before and during the weekend.

HOST HOME INFORMATION

Where will my student be staying for the weekend?

Students will stay in host homes on Friday and Saturday nights with their small group and small group leaders.

What are host homes?

During United Weekend, trusted members of the Bent Tree family graciously open their homes to host a small group of high school or middle school students. We run background checks on all adults present in a host home to ensure the safety of each student.

What kind of space needs to be provided for sleeping?

Ideally, the home would have a living room/playroom/etc, where all students and small group leaders can be together on couches, air mattresses, and sleeping bags. Students and leaders should not be sleeping behind closed doors. If you have a question about the set-up in your home, contact Maria Givens.

What are host homes responsible for?

Host homes should provide breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. This doesn't have to be a full breakfast buffet. Grab 'n go items, like donuts, are great options! Students will be bringing snacks for their group to share.

Can I choose which group to host?

Absolutely! We would love for you to host your student's small group. If you're interested in hosting any group, you can sign up here.

My student has a pet allergy. What should I do?

Host Homes often have pets. The best way to avoid allergens is to host your student's small group at your home. Our ability to accommodate pet allergies is limited to the hosting families.

Why are parents being asked to drive?

For United to be a successful weekend, we need parents to partner with us to drive students to/from host homes and Bent Tree. Students are not allowed to drive themselves.

Is there anything I need to do to drive?

After you sign up for a slot(s), someone from the student team will reach out with an online form to receive your Motor Vehicle Records Information. If this form comes back clear, you will be eligible to drive.

Where do I sign up to drive?
