Wedding FAQs
How many people does the chapel hold?
The chapel can seat up to 300 guests. Chairs will not be removed for parties less than 300.
Do you have to be a member to get married at Bent Tree?
No, any couple who meet the Bent Tree criteria laid out in the contract may be married in the chapel. Please see our Statement of Marriage and contract for more information.
When can you have your wedding at Bent Tree?
Weddings at Bent Tree occur on Fridays and Saturdays, with only one wedding per day. Wedding dates may not be available on holiday weekends.
Do you have multiple weddings per day?
No; Bent Tree only allows one wedding per day and the reservation window may be at any time between 10am – 9pm.
Do you provide any décor?
The chapel is beautiful on its own, however we do provide a few décor pieces you are welcome to use. We provide candelabras, an alter table, pedestals, and a podium. If you do choose to add anything, please see our contract for guidance.
Do you offer outdoor ceremonies?
We have a beautiful outdoor garden next to the chapel where you can host your ceremony, however the ceremony will be standing room only as we do not permit chairs on the grass.
How long is the reservation time?
All ceremony reservations are for 4 hours, including set up, ceremony and tear down. This also includes time for photos anywhere on the premises. Additional hours may be added for $100/hr.
Do you provide a wedding coordinator?
The Chapel at Bent Tree provides two wedding coordinators, as well as a sound technician to ensure your wedding ceremony runs smoothly.
Where can we obtain a marriage license?
Weddings require a Denton County marriage license, which may be obtained at the Denton County Clerk’s office, M-F between 8am and 4:30pm. Please visit the Denton County website for more information.
Can we have our reception at Bent Tree?
Bent Tree offers two reception spaces: The Family Theater can seat up to 300 guests and the Treehouse can seat up to 150 guests. Both spaces can be added to your reservation for additional fees.
What is the cancellation policy?
Refunds shall be made to those who cancel at least ninety days in advance of their scheduled date. An amount of $100.00 will be retained by the church for administrative costs.
Is there a space for the Bridal and Groom’s parties to get ready?
There is a room dedicated to both the bride and groom to get ready. They are separated by the chapel so there is no risk of the bride and groom running into one another.
Do you allow animals on property?
No animals or pets are permitted on Bent Tree property. Service dogs are exempt but must be kept on a leash at all times. The client will be fully responsible for all animals within the facility and assumes the responsibility for any damage the animal might cause.
What is the wedding process?
To begin the process, start by contacting our Wedding Coordinator through the inquiry form above. We will schedule a tour and go through the particulars of your wedding. Once you've decided to move forward with The Chapel at Bent Tree for your wedding a deposit will be due to confirm the wedding reservation. This is only a deposit to hold the date; the remaining balance is to be due 30 days before the event. Additional fees might apply based on additional facilities and technical needs for the event.
