STUDENT MISSIONS

Making a difference here and around the world.

As Jesus expresses his life through us, we live out his heart for the nations. People tangibly experience Jesus' compassion as we meet their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. This opens wide the door to sharing the good news of Jesus. The following is a list of possible student Mission Journeys. We require that our students attend all three meetings and a social before their mission journey. For Adult Mission Journeys, click here.

Student Missions Application Open November 16, 2025

Dallas

The Dallas team will serve alongside Together We Thrive, a nonprofit organization that supports at-risk, homeless, foster, and trafficked youth across North Texas through mentorship and community connection. Together We Thrive coordinates for our teams to serve with the various ministries and nonprofits they partner with throughout the year. The team will spend the night at Bent Tree as they serve in an urban setting close to home.

Joni and Friends

This mission journey will support the Joni and Friends Texas Family Retreat by leading the Outdoor Recreational Class. Joni and Friends provides a retreat for families of individuals with special needs, offering a fun, fully accessible camp environment where families are cared for, rejuvenated, and encouraged in Christ. Located in Navasota, Texas, just south of College Station, students will engage with special needs campers and their buddies in daily outdoor activities and games, and the team will also assist with other, evening camp activities for the families.

Nashville

The Nashville team will serve alongside City Service Mission (CSM), a Christian nonprofit that provides transformative urban ministry experiences throughout Nashville. CSM partners with established local organizations to give our team meaningful, Christ-centered service opportunities. These opportunities may include serving meals, assisting at shelters and food pantries, packing medical supplies for third-world countries, and/or spending time with children at daycare facilities. The team will stay at a church in downtown Nashville.

Lousiana

The Louisiana team will work alongside one of our missionary partners, Martín Rangel, to serve at El Centro Bíblico de la Comunidad, a family-oriented church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Our students will lead a VBS to engage with neighborhood children and foster fellowship, filling a gap as the church does not currently host a dedicated VBS. While many kids are bilingual, many parents speak only Spanish, so our team will also assist with an ESL (English as a Second Language) class one evening to connect with the families. The team will stay overnight at El Centro Bíblico de la Comunidad.

Roatán

The Roatán team will serve alongside Travis Morin at Roatán Mission Fellowship, Inc., a Christian mission organization that leads long-term service on Roatán, an island off the coast of Honduras. The team will engage in a variety of ministries, which may include helping with a feeding program for kids, running a VBS at a local church, assisting with work projects, and serving meals as part of the dump ministry. This mission journey involves international travel, so students must have up-to-date passports and documentation to pass through customs. The team will stay overnight at SeaScape Condos, Roatán Mission’s housing.

Alaska

The Alaska team will be serving in Port Graham, a Native village located about 50 miles from Homer, Alaska. Partnering with Jeffry and Deborah Butter and local missionaries Tanner and Tina Teele, the team will lead a daytime sports camp for elementary kids and host an evening open gym for high school students and young adults. These gatherings will create natural opportunities for gospel conversations, fellowship, and deeper involvement in the local church. The team will stay at both Alaska Bible Institute in Homer and the local Port Graham church. This journey involves extensive travel by plane, boat, and van, students prone to motion sickness should consider another mission journey.

Guatemala

Join us as we work with our partner, Village of Hope, to minister to children who have been abused in their homes. VOH provides trauma counseling, a safe family environment, and practical skills to the children they serve. Most importantly, they share the love of Jesus and let each child know they are valued and have purpose. Our team will spend time helping around the facility as needed, completing work projects, playing with the kids, and teaching skill classes. The team will stay at Village of Hope’s facility.
