About Carol

Carol is originally from Fort Worth, TX, but spent about half her adult life near Boston and later, Washington, DC. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Advertising Design and English. She worked as an Art Director for many years before returning to school to earn her Master's in Pastoral Counseling and Biblical Life Coaching from Liberty University. Carol was raised on a cattle farm in Texas and is now classified as a 'recovering cowgirl'. This valuable upbringing gave positive shape to her faith, family values, work ethic, and grit. She is also a grateful survivor of a long battle with cancer. She has four grown children: 2 daughters, one son-in-law, and a son. Carol is grandmother to a brilliant, amazing, adorable grandson who, fortunately, has a keen sense of humor.

Carol's prayer for Bent Tree is that it continues to represent a strong, safe space of love, kindness, acceptance, and cultural diversity, so that a renewed healing hope can be created for those who have been bruised and broken by life circumstances.
