Karen works closely with Community and Care pastors to handle the behind-the-scenes tasks, from setting up room reservations and registrations to helping leaders update their group info. She and her volunteers implement almost every facet of what Adult Ministry does - from LifeGroups, Support Groups, and Bible Studies to Group Sign Up, Next Steps, Women's Conferences, Senior Adult Luncheons, and more.
About Karen
Wes and Karen married in 1988 in Oklahoma City and moved to Texas in 1989. They enjoy spending time together with friends and family. Karen is a crafter and an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys digging in the dirt or using almost any power tool. She and Wes serve on the Worship & Arts team on Sunday mornings. Working at Bent Tree allows Karen to be a "garden worker" for God. Karen's desire to help others be as excited about their relationship with God as she is. This drives her joy in helping people find their place at Bent Tree and grow their relationships with him and others around them.
Karen's prayer for Bent Tree is for it to be a place of healing from life/church hurts and a place of discovery, seeing how Jesus's love and acceptance are real and for all and how important they are to His Kingdom.
