We all have people on the fringes of our lives, paths that frequently cross. What if those encounters weren’t just happenstance, but an opportunity to share life? Ask them to join you for a movie, get a cup of coffee, or come over to make cookies, and get to know them, and let them get to know you. That’s all it is to Share Life—being available, being intentional, and being interruptible. It’s just being yourself and opening a door to someone you feel called to know better, befriend, and be there for.
Just as God made himself available in a tangible way to us, being available means asking the Spirit to show you who to invite into your life and then continually asking to guide your conversations and interactions from then on.
God was focused on showing us just how much he loves us when he sent us Jesus, and so being intentional means using the time you have to focus on deepening that friendship through God’s love expressed through you.
When Jesus came to earth, he set aside his position and glory to enter this messy world, and that means being interruptible is an openness to set aside your plans for the sake of the relationship so that you can share life as life happens and be okay if it gets messy.
This Christmas season, we want to focus on inviting our friends and family to our Christmas Fest and Christmas Eve services. Click on one of the resources for help along the way.
