Food4Hunger

Help us fight hunger.

Dallas has the third highest child poverty rate among large US cities, and one in four children struggle with hunger. Food4Hunger is a volunteer team that fights hunger by working with local food pantries, McWhorter Elementary School, and the Food4Kids Summer Distribution program (formerly Summer Hunger). Learn more about the ways you can fight with us below.

Food Sorts

We partner with four local food pantries to make sure they are well stocked and resourced. Every time someone drops food off at the tables outside of the Carrollton campus Worship Center, it goes to a pantry to help a family in need. We are always looking for volunteers to help sort and box this food during our quarterly food sorts. Bring the whole family!

Selected Sundays after the second service in the Family Theater.

Food4Kids Summer Distribution

Volunteers are needed each week during the summer and Thanksgiving break to sort, pack, and deliver food to families of students from McWhorter Elementary, a Title I school about a mile down the street from the Carrollton campus. Around 95% of their 575 students receive free/reduced lunches while school is in session.

Every Saturday, June 8 through August 3.
