A Parenting Resource Because Mommin’ (and Daddin’) Ain’t Easy
No matter what stage of parenting you find yourself in right now, we can all agree that it’s an adventure. In the busyness of May, with the teachers to appreciate, the graduation gifts to buy, and the celebrations to enjoy, it can be easy to get caught up in the busy and lose sight of our why. I’m with you! I know I want to create opportunities for important faith conversations with my kids, but sometimes it can feel like one… more… thing. So this week, our kid's team wants to share one of our favorite resources to make that just a bit easier! Enter Parent Cue.
I know I want to create opportunities for important faith conversations with my kids, but sometimes it can feel like one… more… thing.
Parent Cue is a resource created by Orange, an organization that BT Kids uses both for our Sunday morning content and for leader development tools. The parent cue has blog posts, resources, and activities at parentcue.org, but our favorite is the Parent Cue app. When you download the app, you can create a FREE account that gives you resources based on your child’s age and stage, AND it has devos and conversation guides that connect to the lessons we talk about on Sunday morning! We want to highlight the God Time Cards that are available for our BT Big Kids. During small group, we’ll be talking about how can practice hearing from God using our God Time Cards to spend time in his Word throughout the week. You can also find them in the Bent Tree app (under the BT Big Kids Online Experience) and in our Kids Ministry Facebook group, but you can also find them throughout the year under the Faith and Character tab on the Parent Cue app. We hope this is one more resource to equip you as you lead your kids through meaningful faith moments.
Mamas, we’re cheering for you today, especially. And even if the brunch isn’t perfect and the nap doesn’t happen, know that Jesus loves you as much as he loves your precious kiddos. Even in the crazy of May, he’s got you in his powerful hands!
