What to Expect

We'd love for you to join us.

What Should I Wear?

Wear what you would normally wear. You’ll find anything from shorts and t-shirts to business casual. We certainly care more about meeting you than about what you’ll wear.

What Do I Do When I Arrive?

Come right into the Worship Center, if you'd like. Or you can buy a cup of gourmet coffee or a latte from the coffee bar. Or, if you need to ask some questions, you can go right to the Welcome Desk on the opposite side of the coffee bar. Also, when you're ready to talk with someone about getting connected, you can visit the Connection Corner in the lobby by the Welcome Desk.

What About My Kids?

Bent Tree's Early Childhood Ministry provides classes for children from newborns through fifth grade. When you arrive, you can check-in your kids at the Welcome Desk or in the Kids Ministry area. We also recommend filling out a family registration form before you come, to reduce your wait on Sunday morning. Any of our staff or friendly volunteers can help you get checked-in!

Carrollton Kids

Our Middle School Ministry (grades 6–8) meets on Sundays at 11 a.m., and our High School Ministry (grades 9–12) meets on Sundays from 5–7 p.m.

Family Sundays

Every year at Bent Tree, we choose a handful of weekends to celebrate what we call Family Sundays. This is an opportunity for parents to worship with their first through eighth grade children. These Sundays typically fall on holiday weekends and Sundays where we have special programming. They are an important part of who we are as a church. Here's what you should know:

2019 Family Sunday Dates

  • March 10
  • April 21
  • May 26
  • All of July
  • September 1
  • November 24
  • December 22
  • December 29

1. They are strategic

We want kids and teens to know they have a place in the bigger community of Bent Tree. Our hope is that one day they will grow up and choose a church of their own. Family Sundays ensure they have the opportunity to experience the body of Christ, learn what biblical preaching sounds like, contribute to the offering, digest testimonies of God's transforming work, and be inspired by baptisms.

2. They are "kid-friendly"

Of course, the service may still be geared toward adults, but your kid is welcome to be a kid! They will not always use an "inside voice," and they will wiggle and laugh a little louder than everyone else. We want them to be who they are. They can rest on a parent's shoulder or lap. They can even stand on a chair to worship!

3. They are a catalyst

If your child asks a faith question, feel free to have the conversation. Sometimes it's not so much what your kid learns but how you model what it looks like to grow in your faith. Share with them how Christ is speaking to you.

We know it will offer some unique challenges, but we also believe you can do this!
