RACIAL RECONCILIATION

Breaking Down Barriers

As believers, we live in the "already but not yet." We are already saved and indwelt by Jesus, but we are not yet with Jesus face-to-face. We have already been sanctified, yet we are continually being sanctified. At Bent Tree, we recognize this is true when it comes to racial reconciliation as well. We have already been reconciled, yet we don’t experience this reality everywhere. We are committed to reaching, reflecting, and transforming our community, and we know that includes intentionally seeking areas where there needs to be a breaking down of the "dividing wall of hostility." We invite you to join us as we seek the Lord and engage in this very important work.

Statement on Racial Equality

Let's Talk Race

Let's Talk Race: a Beginner's Guide to Conversations about Race is an introductory course looking at the biblical, historical, and societal impacts of race in America and specifically the church. It is provided by LTR Ministries, a not-for-profit organization. The goal for this class is that you will leave with a better understanding and an intrinsic motivation to work toward racial reconciliation in your church and your spheres of influence.
